FLOATING HOSPITAL 1

( RSA Dr. Lie Dharmawan )

Overview

In 2009, dr. Lie Dharmawan, SpB, SpBTKV (Founder of doctorSHARE) sold a house in order to build the solution to the probem our fellow Indonesians face - he built the smallest floating hospital boat with the purpose of reaching Indonesia’s most remote-islands; providing and performing free medical interventions to families who otherwise will not be saved or treated.

( RSA Nusa Waluya I )

Overview

On June 1, 2015, doctorSHARE and Ekhadarma foundation launched a joint floating hospital program called RSA Nusa Waluya I. “Nusa” means archipelago and “waluya” is a Javanese word for healthy. This floating hospital follows the footsteps of the first floating hospital (RSA dr. Lie Dharmawan) to take preventive actions for those in need in Disadvantaged Areas, Borders and Islands (DTPK).
Through this program, doctorSHARE established the Floating Medical Care System and ran a pilot program to adopt villages that have no or lacking in health workers and health facilities.
